Longhurst finishes strongly in Targa Tasmania |
Les Walkden Rallying’s Tony Longhurst has finished Targa Tasmania in 11th place, moving further up the leader board on the final day of the six-day tarmac classic. Driving a 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI, Longhurst and co-driver, Linda Long, punctured a tyre on the first day of the event, which had to be replaced, costing them two minutes in time penalties. |

Longhurst in sight of top 10 at Targa |
Les Walkden Rallying’s Tony Longhurst has continued to move the field on day four of Targa Tasmania, moving from 16th place to 13th, and to within striking distance of the top ten. Driving a Subaru Impreza WRX STI, the Queenslander lapped up the wet conditions over the four afternoon stages as the event wound its way from the team’s home-base in Launceston in the state’s north, to Strahan on the west coast. |

Longhurst continues Targa climb |
Two-time Bathurst winner Tony Longhurst has moved up a further six places on day three of Targa Tasmania and is now targeting a top 10 finish in his Subaru Impreza WRX STI.
Driving for the Launceston-based Les Walkden Rallying team, Longhurst and co-driver, Linda Long, began the day in 22nd place, however a consistent run over the day’s eight stages has seen them have another trouble-free day. |
