In 2010 Les Walkden Rallying will be an active participant in a number of tarmac rallies throughout Australia.

This is a growing sport, with big fields looking for the thrills and challenges associated with driving with specifically prepared cars on closed roads.

Les Walkden is the owner of Rally Tasmania, and his team performed well in this event, with young gun Brendan Reeves finishing fourth outright after three tough days of competition in the first round of the Australian Rally Championship.

In the modern category, two-time Bathurst winner Tony Longhurst took fourth place, also in a Subaru Impreza WRX.

LWR will run Longhurst in the six-day Targa Tasmania event in April and May, driving a brand new 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX. The team will also be preparing and servicing cars for Tony Quinn (Nissan GTR), Klark Quinn (Lancer Evo IX), and Angus Kennard (Impreza WRX).

LWR will then contest Targa West, in Western Australia, and the Mt Buller Sprint throughout the remainder of 2009, with a busy season of action awaiting the team.
